This was my first time eating here. The food was delicious. The chicken was one of my favorites. This is buffet style with lots to chose from. Friendly staff. Got plenty of refills on my tea. And I loved the fact that they kept the buffet clean and tidy. I watched the lady wipe down the buffet many times while I was there. I like that. I look forward to going back here soon. Great family place with great country cooking.
A wonderful place to get good comfort foods and service with a smile. Love the people, the food and the consistency. We went for Thanksgiving brunch and had a wonderful experience on what was sure to be a little overwhelming for the restaurant. They are top notch!
It's a drive-through service now. The food is good. The barbecue was ok. It was not as tasty as it was years ago. The butter beans, cornbread fritter, fried chicken, and corn were delicious. People are friendly.
What about that location. The people are friendly, and I can get a bag of fat back Togo. Great place to spend time an money.
Delicious food and the General is real friendly. Drive up with a few outdoor picnic tables
Good BBQ. Chopped and my favorite pulled. And the sauce is the best. I buy it by the bottle. It's a buffet and on the expensive side especially if you add tea. Good country home food cooking. You can also get take out which they charge by the pound as most buffets do. On Sundays they usually have home made dressing that is pretty close to the way my Mom made it. Edit: 9/3/19 Sadly General McArthurs burned and is now closed until further notice.
They have a small country buffet compared to larger restaurants, but the food is usually delicious. Fried chicken, fried fish, BBQ, corn, greens, fat back, cornbread, sweet potato casserole, etc... They also have a salad bar and desserts. Their lemonade is wonderful!! Friendly service. Their price is rather steep, though.
